Problem

Mr. and Mrs. Grant had recently moved to the Yorkshire area in Knaresborough. They were looking to personalise their new abode by making several renovations.

They were particularly looking at two en-suites, one in the main bedroom and the other in the guest bedroom.

Both en-suites were tired and dated with no connection to their style.

So the couple sought a company that could help with the design, offer ideas and project manage the jobs.

Solution

Their priority was the refurbishment of the en-suite in the main bedroom.

After an initial search online for a list of companies offering design and project management services, they came across ourMore Bathrooms brand and looked for the closest showroom to them.

Visiting our Harrogate bathroom showroom the couple were impressed with the range of bath, shower, and accessible designs we had on display.

The couple took particular interest in the modern, walk-in shower, with dark green tiles and luxury features, and were inspired.

Wanting more information, followed up on their visit and enquired on our website to be booked for a free design appointment.

Our showroom consultant Laura contacted the couple to gather further information and see if we were the right company and could provide the exact service they were looking for.

The couple expressed that they were looking to refurbish their en-suite having made a showroom visit and were impressed by our design capabilities and service offering, prompting them to get in touch.

Mr. and Mrs. Grant also had a few ideas in mind that they wanted to explore and wanted our help and advice for the new design.

Laura confirmed that we had an experienced team with the expertise they wanted and would ensure we delivered the desired refurbished en-suite.

She went on to fully explain to them each step of our full design and fit service.

Mr. and Mrs. Grant were happy with the information they’d received and were confident that we could meet their needs, and requirements and were scheduled for an appointment with our Senior Designer Andy.

Visiting them at their home, Andy surveyed the design, taking measurements and images of the main features and pipework, the couple and Andy then gathered to talk about the design.

Mr. and Mrs Grant told Andy they were looking at removing the outer wall of the ensuite to make the room bigger.

They expressed their affection for the green shower display and wanted a similar design replicated for their shower room.

Looking at the existing configuration, Andy confirmed that the wall could be removed, making the room bigger and they could fit the luxury features they’d seen in the showroom as part of their design.

Andy behind the design:-

“The refurbishment was straightforward, Mr. and Mrs. Grant were very clear about what they wanted to achieve, and it was easier having taken inspiration from one of the Harrogate designs.

It was about taking them through our full design and fit service process and ensuring that we met every need and desire to ensure they got exactly what they wished, which is what we did!"

Taking note of their ideas, Andy invited the couple back to the Harrogate Showroom where he presented CAD images to help the couple envision how the room would look finished.

Both were amazed by the images, so Andy took them around the showroom to make any changes and choose their final finishing touches.

Once they had decided on their choices, they continued to place an order with us to carry out the work.

The couple were given a provisional date and introduced to our bathroom surveyor Joe who’d be the one to liaise with the fitter throughout the project installation to make sure it ran smoothly.

Luxury en-suite shower refurbishment | Knaresborough

Our multi-skilled fitter Darren ripped out the existing design and removed the outer wall of the room, creating a bigger en-suite room.

On the right-hand side of the room, a large open-ended luxury walk-in shower was built with a glass screen, a low shower tray, and black trims for an overall opulent style.

On the inside of the shower, sea-inspired azure gloss tiles were fit to enhance the showering experience and bring more of a wow factor to the room. A slide shower was fit on the inside completing the shower area.

For design cohesion, the azure tiles were fit around the rest of the room achieving a sea-like aura.

Next to the shower, a dark wooden wall-hung vanity unit effect vanity was fit increasing the clean elegant charm of the room, and storage space to put their bathroom equipment. Above the vanity unit, a mirror was fit.

Opposite the vanity unit, a comfortable height WC was fit completing the traditional features of a shower room.

Completing the en-suite lake house oak encore rigid flooring was fit around the new shower room.

The newly refurbished luxury en-suite design exemplified our team's expertise across departments for the entire renovation.
